Keona
Lodge is a Log Element Post and Beam design. Traditional log homes tend
have a dark, cramped feel to them. The Keona Lodge design was intended
to combine the log features of a traditional log home with the warmth
and towering open spaces created in a post and beam design. So all exposed
posts and beams will be large cedar logs, but the remaining framing will
be done conventionally.
The design of Keona Lodge is very similar to the Casa Islena design that
is marketed by Lindal Cedar Homes. The Lodge developers decided to have
another custom cedar home designer emulate the Lindal design and adapt
it to the Wawona property's unique features. The result is a custom cedar
log design that takes full advantage of the property's spectacular views
and gentle forest setting.
The total living space created under this roof is almost 3600 square feet.
The great room boasts a 24 foot high cathedral ceiling. From here you
can enjoy the views of Wawona Dome, Chilnualna, and Turner Ridge through
the magnificant walls of windows created in the great room.
A spacious gourmet kitchen awaits you just off the great room as well
as a dining area for entertaining larger parties. The upper level
contains a spacious master suite with a luxurious jetted tub and walk-in
shower.
When the sun has gone down and its just a little too chilly outside, you
can relax downstairs in the fully equipped media/entertainment room. Or
read a good book in the open spaces up on the loft. Enjoy stargazing
out on the Lodge's 1400 square feet of wrap-around deck.
Keona Lodge has something for everyone.
